Why Google for Education?
With Google for Education and Chromebooks you can easily transform the way you teach and students learn.
Drastically reduce your photocopying costs (and time spent dealing with paper jams!) using Google Classroom for paperless assignments.
Students can collaborate with other students or classes from around the world
Devices and Technology
Google for Education works on any device, but is best experienced on a Chromebook. Chromebook are incredibly affordable devices that are totally secure and exceptionally easy to manage. They boot in under 7 seconds, have long-lasting battery life, are really lightweight and durable and as a result, they are the most popular devices in Education in a variety of countries including the USA and Sweden.
There are some great deals to be had through LGfL's SmartBuy service, and we can support you with the entire implementation journey to ensure that they are setup just right for your use case. We can even support you in converting old hardware (PCs/notebooks) into fully-fledged Chrome devices with the same functionality as a Chromebook.
There are heaps of cutting edge tools included in your Google for Education service to enhance the teaching and learning experience and improve efficiency. All of the tools were built with collaboration and security in mind and can be easily managed without any technical experience.

Training for Google for Education
Sharing and transparency is fundamental to Google culture, something we want to enable and practice within LGfL schools. We can help support you at every step of the way by pairing you up with similar local schools to share strategies and support each other with the input of a Google for Education Certified Trainer.
Vision and Culture
A clear and measurable vision is the most important driving force for change. We can support school leaders in creating the right vision and culture for their school with clear metrics and goals that they can measure against. What's more - when you order your first set of 30 Chromebooks, your school is entitled to a Transformational Planning Workshop to support you in this process.
LGfL has a designated Google Training Centre where LGFL schools can access a variety of training opportunities for no added cost. Training and professional development are crucial to implementing purposeful technology change and should involve and support all stakeholders.
As a result, we offer free Google for Education training to LGfL schools categorised by the following:
Certification and trainer development
Innovation and design
Service descriptions and app functionality are subject to change by Google. Unfortunately, this is beyond LGfL's control. However, we would of course advise you at the earliest possible opportunity of any changes and assist with any support issues raised.
